It IS a Word!

I used bastardize in a sentence today. I used it correctly, thank you very much. My husband would not believe it was a word until I took him to dictionary.com to look it up. He continued to make fun of me but at least he knew I was right.

I use it all the time but I use 's' instead of 'z' because I'm difficult. And to me it means screwed up as in, "That was a bastardised version of that song."
Your husband needs a bitchslap on general principle.
