I'm going to make one resolution for 2008, and only one: to work on one aspect of my life, every month. If it takes 21 days to establish a habit, I can conceivably establish 12 new habits over the course of the new year. Something like that, anyway. I'm sure as always that "real life" will intrude on all my good intentions.
January's goal is to get my home in order. I like Flylady quite a bit - her emails get a little more mushy and preachy than I'm comfortable with, but I'm convinced her system works. So in January I will:
- Establish my daily Fly routines
- begin the never-ending process of decluttering my home, one room at a time.
There will be other work done in the realm of self-improvement, like my ongoing Weight Watchers diet and my effort to stop eating so much crap food, both of which go hand-in-hand, but since they're an ongoing daily effort, I'm not focusing on them as a monthly goal unless they need additional help down the road.
So there you have it. One two-part goal. One month. Ready, set, go! :)
